Job description

Position Overview: As a Financial Analyst you will play a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong financial acumen and hands-on experience using Costpoint for project accounting and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis:

   • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost trends, and revenue recognition.
   • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial data.

2. Costpoint Utilization:

   • Utilize Costpoint software to manage financial data, perform cost allocations, and ensure accurate project accounting.
   • Ensure the proper setup of projects, cost structures, and financial elements in Costpoint.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

   • Support the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets.
   • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and participate in budget variance analysis.

4. Financial Reporting:

   • Generate financial reports and dashboards to communicate key financial metrics.
   • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management and stakeholders.

5. Project Control:

   • Implement and maintain project control measures, tracking budget vs. actual performance.
   • Collaborate with project managers to ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines.

6. Compliance and Audit Support:

   • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
   • Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst with a focus on project control.
• Proficient in using Costpoint software for project accounting and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of project financials, cost structures, and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
