Addison Group is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager with Construction industry experience to join the team of our leading client in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to excellence and have a reputation for delivering high-quality results as the Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager position is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with an annual salary up to $100,000 depending on applicable experience. **Only local Minnesota Residents are eligible to apply and be considered for this position**

Position Overview: As a Payroll Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for the construction workforce. This position requires a deep understanding of payroll regulations, compliance, and industry-specific payroll challenges. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll, from time tracking to tax compliance, while working closely with our HR and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing: Execute and oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data collection, calculation, and distribution of paychecks, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  2. Construction Industry Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of construction industry payroll practices, such as prevailing wage, union contracts, certified payroll, and job costing, to ensure accurate payroll management.
  3. Timekeeping Management: Implement and maintain efficient time tracking systems for construction workers, ensuring accurate recording of hours worked on various projects.
  4. Tax Compliance: Stay up to date with tax laws and regulations specific to the construction industry, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.
  5. Benefit Administration: Oversee and manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring proper deductions and compliance.
  6. Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, including employee information, tax documents, and compliance records.
  7. Reporting: Generate payroll reports and financial summaries for management and accounting purposes, providing insights into labor costs and trends.
  8. Problem Solving: Address and resolve payroll-related issues, discrepancies, and inquiries from employees, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  9. Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
