A Structural/Mechanical Drafter (Remote) job is available with our client based in Albuquerque, NM. In this role you will prepares simple to complex engineering structural and general arrangement drawings. To be considered for this role, you will have an Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of experience working in structural or mechanical drafting.
Structural/Mechanical Drafter (Remote) Job Duties:
- With minimal supervision prepares simple to complex engineering structural and general arrangement drawings
- With minimal direction performs updates from data supplied
- Comply with all company and customer procedures, engineering practices and other standards
- Ability to apply client Engineering Standards as part of day-to-day technical support of assignments
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree in drafting and design or other related design discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience working in structural or mechanical drafting
- Field walkdown experience of process plants desired
- Ability to interpret structural and civil drawings and accurately make drawing corrections
- Experience using AVEVA E3D or PDMS required
- Experience with AVEVA Structural Design required
- Familiar with ANSI/AWS A2.4 welding standards preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of standard practices, standards, and principles for structural drafting and detailing
- Proven ability to create and maintain cross-functional working relationships and communicating design concepts and information with technicians, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
- Must be cleared to work in the US and be able to work with Export Controlled Information.
- Field experience of process or energy production plants desired.
