Allient Inc. is a global publicly traded company with over 2200 employees at 26 locations in 11 countries. TheProduct Manager is responsible for driving the company’s daily activities regarding customers, marketing, sales/distribution channels, training and collaboration with Allient’s operational and sales representatives and coordinating with the ALIO operations team regarding existing orders and production priorities. Responsibilities: - Has direct experience in motion control, motion systems, motor systems, precision positioning.
- Has worked in designing and supporting motor, encoder, or similar motion systems.
- Establishes strategic marketing and sales plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
- Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long-range, to support the sales and revenue objectives of the organization.
- Develops training programs and administers this training to the organization, Allient RSM and the Allient Solution Center groups.
- Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize the effects of competitive activity.
- Assesses feasibility and leverages nano-positioning subject knowledge to align ALIO technology and capabilities with customer’s demands.
- Evaluates client requests to determine feasibility of timeframe, customization and cost effectiveness.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Defines and revises price lists and pricing methods to be used internally and externally, special pricing to be approved by Allient leadership team.
- Prepares proposals and quotes for customers, special pricing to be approved by Allient leadership team
- Presents projections, short-term and long-term goals to determine future product development and future markets.
- Conveys nano-positioning customer requests to engineering staff to ensure technical customer requirements are met through customization.
- Directs channel development and coordinates sales channels by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals, and supports Allient RSMs in channel management.
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote the company and its products.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
- Meets with key customers, assists sales representative by maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals.
- Develops and manages the sales budget, reports on cost of sales and promotions related to customer activity, when required.
- Hosts customer and corporate visits, including tours, and meeting preparation/actions.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- MBA in Business Administration completed or in progress or equivalent.
- 10 years experience in the precision motion industry.
Physical Demands: - This position requires frequent walking and standing while completing the core responsibilities of this position.
Work Environment: - This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Moderate level of travel will be required based on need.
