Salary: $6,608.00 - $8,887.00 Monthly

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Information Technology Division is recruiting for a journey-level GIS Application Developer. This position is a professional-level GIS developer who designs, develops, tests, implements, maintains, and supports mission-critical business functions and custom geospatial and mobile applications for the agency. This position provides guidance, consultation, and training to other developers, team members, or customers, on software development disciplines and methodologies that comply with the agency software development standards. This position performs highly complex spatial data analyses which require a high level of expertise with the ESRI-ArcGIS software development platform and problem-solving ability. This position responds to and resolves highly complex customer complaints and problems relating to all aspects of GIS, programming, and system issues. This position applies empirical-based analytical processes and research to the planning, design, and implementation of IT systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.

Required Qualifications:

--A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, information systems, science or related fields;
OR a combination of education and/or experience equivalent.
--Four years of concurrent recent experience in designing, programming, and deploying Geographic Information Systems applications;
--Professional level working experience building custom applications with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, Geo-processing, ArcSDE, Java Script, Python, SQL, and Standard Desktop Software.
--Experience troubleshooting all types of technical issues and providing support on GIS applications, systems, ESRI software, and supporting tools including tools such as products as Windows Event Viewer, Charles, Fiddler, or other related products.
--Knowledge and experience in all systems development life cycle stages.
