Summary

Teacher Position

Edith B. Jackson Child Care Program, Inc. New Haven
EBJ is a Yale affiliated, NAEYC accredited, quality child care program serving children ages 3 months - 5/6 years. Applicant must have some experience in group care. Qualified candidate must have the ability to work closely with one or two other teachers, with parents, and with young children sensitively, intelligently, and with patience and integrity. Education Requirement:
Minimum diploma
Experience with NAEYC accreditation standards, CT ELDS, and willingness to uphold those standards in the classroom
Ability to continue your professional experiences as required: staff trainings, staff meetings, college classes, and professional development opportunities
Classroom Responsibilities :
Creation and maintenance of developmentally appropriate classroom environment for ? encompassing all aspects of safety and health, keen attention to early education stimulation, and warm, loving, supportive and attentive social and emotional supervision
Working closely with other teachers within the classroom, offering guidance and direction in accordance with high quality care and early education
Open communication with parents of the children enrolled in the classroom, providing detailed information, both oral and written, regarding the care and early education of their children.
Co-operation and collaboration with the Director and colleagues
