As a Chief Business Solution Architect Consultant specializing in the Utility Sector, you will bring your strategic and analytical expertise to provide consultancy services to utility organizations. In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges, define technology solutions, and drive the successful implementation of transformative projects. Your goal is to align technology solutions with business objectives and contribute to the overall success and sustainability of utility operations.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Strategic Business Consulting: • Collaborate with utility clients to understand their business goals, challenges, and opportunities.
• Develop and deliver strategic business solutions aligned with industry best practices.
Business Capabilities Evaluation:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' business processes and technology infrastructure.
• Design and recommend business solutions that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and overall business performance.
Business Process Optimization: • Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes and enhance overall business agility.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP):
• Provide expertise in the selection and implementation of ERP systems to enhance asset and work management end to end processes.
• Design integrated solutions that align with the unique needs of decision makers to ensure safe and reliable service to utility customers.
Stakeholder Engagement: • Collaborate effectively with client leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technology solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Change Management:
• Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the smooth adoption of new business solutions.
• Provide guidance on overcoming resistance and driving a positive cultural shift within organizations.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent job related experience with a proven track record.
- Proven experience as a business solution architect or consultant specializing in the utility or energy sector.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing business strategies and solutions.
- In-depth understanding of utility business processes, regulations, and industry-specific challenges.
- Familiarity with the dynamics of the utility sector, including energy distribution, enterprise resource management, customer relationship management, and associated technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex datasets and deriving actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
- Proven ability to think strategically and align business solutions with overarching organizational goals.
- Experience in contributing to digital transformation initiatives and driving innovation.
- Experience in developing and implementing change management strategies for process improvements and technology implementations.
- Ability to guide organizations through positive cultural shifts.
- Proficiency in designing business solutions, considering scalability, integration, and alignment with industry best practices.
- Experience in evaluating and recommending technology solutions that meet business requirements.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent job related experience with a proven track record.
- Additional certifications or advanced degrees in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or related fields.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or demonstrated project management experience.
- A track record of contributing to and leading innovative initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies.
- Experience in selecting and implementing Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Oracle) to enhance asset and work management end to end processes.
- Familiarity with data science concepts and tools to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Understanding of where AI/ML and Generative AI concepts can be applied in the Utility industry.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and executive leadership.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations or associations related to business architecture or the utility sector.
- Experience in public speaking, presenting at conferences, or contributing to thought leadership in the utility sector.
Salary:
Entry-Level (0-3 years of experience): $120,000 - $160,000 per year
Mid-Level (4-7 years of experience): $160,000 - $200,000 per year
Experienced (8+ years of experience): $200,000 and above per year
