Title: Tax Preparer / Accountant
Location: Onsite in Monroeville, PA
Compensation: $40,000-$60,000 (DOE)

We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer / Accountant to join our small but well-established firm. Our team focuses on small businesses and individuals by providing accounting and bookkeeping services, tax preparation and planning for individuals, sole-proprieters, corporations, partnerships, trust and estates.

The ideal candidate will possess technical skills in data entry, journal entries, reconciliation, and revenue reports. They must also be able to prepare and file tax returns and generate financial statements in QuickBooks. This is an integral role for our company, and the perfect opportunity for someone looking to start or continue their career in accounting.

We are open to entry level candidates who have recently graduated, to more junior and mid level candidates.

We are a small firm so although we are looking for someone who can work independently, we will also train and provide guidance.

This is a full time, permanent position in Monroeville, PA.

What You Will Be Doing

-Prepare personal federal, state & local tax returns using Pro Series
-Call or email clients to obtain additional information from client via email
-Prepare Corporate & Partnership tax returns
-Data entry information in QuickBooks desktop, QBO or Pro series
-Update and review fixed assets depreciation (book vs tax)
-Run payroll reports from provider web site and prepare adjusting journal entries for clients QuickBooks desktop or online software
-Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns for clients
-Prepare year end w-2 and 1099-misc for clients
-Prepare and submit Pennsylvania sales tax monthly, quarterly, or annually for client using tele file or E-tides
-Prepare revenue and expense recaps in excel for clients
-Reconcile bank and credit card statements in QuickBooks
-Prepare journal entries for loans using amortization schedules or statements
-Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements
-Run revenue reports from Lightspeed, PayPal and square software and post adjusting journal entries for sales, sales tax collected etc.
-Other accounting and tax duties as needed

What You Need for this Position

Experience with tax and accounting (open to individuals with knowledge of a mix of both)
