Job description
Job Title: Controller
Location: New Albany, OH or Newark, OH
Salary: $125,000-$150,000
Requirements: CPA or CMA Certification, 10+ years of accounting of finance experience, experience in manufacturing accounting and cost accounting
- Take charge of all accounting and financial statement preparation activities and lead a team of four professionals in the accounting department.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in the preparation of company financial statements.
- Manage the daily operations of the department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports and statements compliant with GAAP principles.
- Administer and implement robust internal financial controls and procedures to uphold the integrity of financial operations.
- Manage compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and collaborate with external firms on tax filings.
- Lead the coordination of the annual financial statement audit with external partners, overseeing both interim procedures and year-end audit processes.
- Analyze existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness in the financial statement preparation process.
- Perform any other duties as required in support of the overall financial management objectives.
- 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience in a manufacturing company and cost accounting
- Experience working in Infor, Epicor or MS Great Plains
- Cash/AP/AR process automation software
- Salary: $125k-$150k + bonus
