Job description

If so, develop your leadership skills this summer by joining the 2024 CPAC leadership team as a Team Leader. Team Leaders promote CPAC’s culture while overseeing their team of lifeguards and designated deck operations with a focus on CPAC's number one objective.......... SAFETY!

 

A Team Leader directly monitors the performance of 15 (fifteen) assigned lifeguards and communicates necessary observations and concerns to the Squad Leader and/or Manager on Duty. Team Leaders must understand and effectively teach safety, rescue, and first-aid protocols to lifeguards as outlined by the training curriculum. In addition, Team Leaders monitor and communicate their team’s daily staffing levels, ensure that all lifeguards actively participate in required pre-shift and evening in-service training sessions, and document any employee performance or behavior issues.

 

Additional responsibilities include assisting with programs and special events, providing assistance in pre-hire certification, training and late-hire classes, and assisting members and patrons as needed by providing high quality customer service.

A Team Leader must be at least 18 years of age and have been a CPAC lifeguard, in “good standing”, for at least (2) years. Team Leaders are required to attend and complete all necessary pre-season, in-service trainings and meetings. 

Team Leaders must successfully earn a 1-Star StarGuard Elite (SGE) Lifeguard Instructor License by completing land and water training/test-out sessions.
