Overview:
Great opportunity to join a leading innovator in food manufacturing as a Director of Quality and Compliance! Establishes, directs, and coordinates all aspects of corporate Quality Assurance systems to achieve product quality, and performance for customer satisfaction, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert opinion, advice, and recommendations to the organization regarding quality processes, relevant regulations, and compliance factors. Regulatory requirements include US and worldwide regulations, standards, and guidance documents.
- Develop and execute corporate quality programs to ensure conformity of purchased materials and finished products to quality standards.
- Review regulatory/compliance/safety laws and regulations which govern and impact company operations and compares them to current practices. Develops and implements required standards to assure company’s regulatory compliance.
- Oversee food safety tasks as required for foreign material control, sanitation, critical control point operation, GMP’s and storage practices.
- Oversee tasks as designated for implementation and maintenance of the SQF Food Safety systems.
Requirements: - Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing quality and regulatory affairs.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of domestic and international food manufacturing regulations and standards, including AIB, FDA, USDA and SQF.
- Project management experience.
