If you’re eager for your next challenge, Imperial Dade is a great place to take that next step.  The Purchasing Department is hiring a talented Purchasing Assistant! The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for accurately and efficiently documenting all vendor purchase order confirmations. This individual will be working closely with the Replenishment Analysts, Product Specialists, and Vendors to ensure all purchase orders match the vendor confirmations. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

You will:

• Review and process all purchase order acknowledgments from the vendors
• Review confirmations against PO or any discrepancies
• Update PO in system with confirmation information alerting the lnventory
• Management team the PO was acknowledged by the vendor and will be processed according to the terms of the PO.
• Clearly identify any discrepancies. i.e. Item Costs. Delivery Dates. Shiplocations, etc. to the Replenishment Analyst and/or Product Specialist for action.
• Manage the unconfirmed PO reporting and reach out to vendors as needed
  when confirmation has not been sent.
• Provide support as needed to the daily ordering and inventory activities of thePurchasing Department.
• Proof and enter Receiving department data.
• Run and prepare reports.
• Manage item information and other inventory-related data.
• Perform other duties assigned as needed.

You have:

• Bachelor's Degree, in related discipline preferred.
• Experience in inventory/supply chain or customer service-related (preferred).
• Strong communication skills: Speaks and writes clearly and effectively. Uses effective communication in order to initiate timely responses to inquiries.
• Strong organizational skills: Attention to detail, demonstrates urgency to follow up on open issues and drives toward closure, able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
• Collaborative approach: Able to build effective relationships with our Buying Team, source suppliers, and other business partners.
• Problem solving skills: Able to use logic and accepted methods to solve problems and identify effective solutions.
• Innovative: Willing and able to use a creative or unconventional approach if the task calls for it. Computer literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel. An aptitude to learn other technical applications quickly.
• Keyboard/Number pad proficiency
