POSITION TITLE: Case Manager (Resettlement & Placement)
REPORTS TO: Resettlement & Placement Program Manager

WORKSITE: Lincoln, Nebraska

ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION: 
Immigrant Legal Center and Refugee Empowerment Center merged on October 1, 2022, uniting two of Nebraska’s most well-respected immigrant-serving agencies. With over fifty years of combined service, ILC and REC have a wealth of expertise, experience, and resources that allow our staff to provide a wholistic blend of high-quality services to our newest friends and neighbors. As Nebraska and southwest Iowa’s leading immigration legal services provider and refugee resettlement agency, we are focused on empowering immigrants to live with confidence and free from fear. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
An ILC + REC Resettlement & Placement (R&P) Case Manager is an integral part of ILC’+REC’s Resettlement & Placement Program. The R&P Case Manager provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants to support a positive resettlement experience and the achievement of client self-sufficiency. The R&P Case Manager works closely with clients, colleagues, and external parties to develop service and/or self-sufficiency plans to meet individual client needs and preferences. A broad range of financial, medical, social, vocational, and other services and resources are used in accordance to client eligibility and program requirements. The ideal candidate for this position has lived experience or professional experience working with refugees and immigrants, is dependable, is an exceptional interpersonal communicator, and has strong cultural competence and passion to serve the refugee community.
