Reporting to President of US & Canada Commercial, the Director, Omnichannel Merchandising, is responsible for leveraging shopper and retailer insights to deliver consistent branded merchandising solutions and selling stories for trade shows, instore displays & ecommerce assets which drive awareness and maximize conversion. In this role you will lead a team of project managers that design and develop branded display executions across all channels of trade in North America. A Day In The Life of the Director, Omnichannel Merchandising: You will be required to reform the trade merchandising process with a focus on delivering profitable solutions to expand distribution in developing channels and ensure all POP delivers a consistent global brand experience by leveraging the global trade toolkits. This role will also be responsible for managing, negotiating, and sourcing new vendors. You will be responsible for managing the trade budget in conjunction with the VP of marketing and VP of finance. You will lead the digital merchandising team and ensure that Hasbro is executing brand and product experiences across all digital platforms consistently. Your team will partner with the performance marketing team and the global assets to lead asset testing to ensure the commercial teams are consistently leveraging the most effective assets and copy. Your team will audit and adjust PDP’s for all accounts outside of Amazon in North America. Your team is responsible for achieving customer content health targets. Your team will also assist in the planning and execution of North American trade shows. You will partner with the SVP of Sales and Country Manager Canada to understand the channel growth strategies and then ensure Hasbro is exhibiting at necessary shows to reach these channels of trade. Your team will develop the asset or sales playbook to reach these channels through trade events and through the digital business to business site. You and your team will also lead the Customer Previews and Customer Trade Shows which will include the planning, logistics, budgeting, and execution. This will also include partnering with Sales & Marketing to understand strategies to ensure presentations are customized to each retailer needs. Your team will also be responsible for customer toolkits and resources needed for the presentations. Lead the development of framework for creating, merchandising, measuring/auditing our omni shopping experiences and reporting. You will partner with the retail excellence team and analytics team to build scoarecards to measure KPI’s. Responsible for leading vendor evaluation, scorecarding and negotiation efforts and for leading negotiation strategy with key vendors on multi-million dollars in expenses for digital and brick solutions. Development of relationships at key retail accounts for OMNI Activation, ensuring alignment for all facets of the business. Building relationships with key partners to ensure Retail Activation is always innovative, progressive and insightful with everything we do. Your team will partner with sales and marketing to ensure alignment or brand priorities across all channels. What You’ll Bring: 8-10 years in customer marketing, retail merchandising and/or omnichannel merchandising expereince is required Demonstrated ability to build high performing teams and design team to meet organizational and evolving industry needs. Ability to plan and implement strategic vision. Successful in negotiating and/or influencing across all levels to gain cooperation and successfully implement projects. Proven leadership abilities, including ability to think strategically, develop operational strategies and determine long-term impact of decisions on the business. Proven success in budget management and strong financial acumen. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills A creative and conceptual thinker, not afraid to questions and take risks, open to a test and learn approach Strong project management and problem-solving skills. Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects from creation to implementation while overseeing projects managed by individual team members. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to build relationships and influence across the organization. Strong customer focus.
