The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) ( is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Director for Federal Nutrition Programs. The Assistant Director reports to the ACES Associate Director and serves as a member of the ACES System Program Team where they will communicate and collaborate with other Assistant Directors on campus and in the field. The Assistant Director provides visionary leadership to three, multimillion dollar Federal Nutrition Programs, EFNEP, SNAP-Ed, and Thriving Communities, including continued acquisition of internal and external resources. Oversees budgets (~$10M annually), personnel decisions (~82 FTEs), program development, and evaluation processes.

This is a one-year limited-term position. Continued employment is based on the continuation of extramural funding and is subject to renewal on an annual basis. Funding for this program has been continuous for over 50 years.
