Your Impact:Jacobs is seeking a dynamic ITS Network Operations Manager to join our team in Pompano Beach, FL. In this role, you’ll lead an exclusive team of IT professionals, and be responsible for maintaining, designing and improving network infrastructure, cyber security compliance, implementation of NIST framework best practices, and alignment with policy and procedure. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills and have experience interacting with and guiding IT professionals.
We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager to meet the following needs:
• Analyze and manage physical and logical resources of existing network capacity and incorporate high-level and/or detailed forecasts into meaningful network build plans
• Employ industry best practices to evaluate the needs and requirements of various departmental stakeholders and deploy strategies and technology necessary to meet identified goals.
• Plan, direct and coordinate activities of a multi-functional team including the development of individual team members and reporting on progress for various initiatives
• Support asset management, hardware testing, firmware upgrades and code enhancements as needed to maintain compliance with Department policy.
• Refine/Evolve operation standards, processes, and procedures
• Apply application performance monitoring technology to improve security, reliability and productivity.
• Utilize technical knowledge to identify and apply cost effective solutions
• Communicate network security and infrastructure needs with management for identifying capital improvements, routine maintenance and renewal/replacement of existing devices and systems.
• Contribute to business planning, development and implementation.
• Lead a continuous improvement process to accelerate growth in staff technical knowledge, policy development, and cyber security.
• Perform routine security audits and report analysis findings and recommendations for further action
• Act as a primary point of contact for all network outages, inquiries and requests, and support the business operations with prompt, effective problem resolution
• Skilled in network design, security, and operational principles, routing protocols, device deployment, management of extensive network infrastructure
• Skilled in budgeting, funding, demand forecasting, vendor management, as well as developing and making presentations.
• Skilled in the use of computer applications, computer programming and networking.
• Excellent planning skills to efficiently and effectively scope, prioritize and develop required infrastructure updates
• Perform other duties as assigned

**Must have the ability to travel to all owned facilities for deployments, trainings, and investigation within the state of Florida.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Four-year college degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems or a computer related degree
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in supervisory role.
• Minimum 15 years of work experience in the Information Technology field.
• Valid driver’s license with no major infraction
• Experience in network design, security, and operational principles, routing protocols, device deployment, management of extensive network infrastructure
• Experience in budgeting, funding, demand forecasting, vendor management, as well as developing and making presentations;
• Experience in the use of computer applications, computer programming and networking;
• Excellent planning skills to efficiently and effectively scope, prioritize and develop required infrastructure updates
• Ability to analyze, interpret and report on various network and systems efficiency data
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
