Join our team at the YMCA as a Kitchen Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of excellence in food service. As a Kitchen Manager, your responsibilities will encompass maintaining cleanliness and enforcing state and local codes to achieve a 95% rating in kitchen inspections. You will oversee food preparation, ensuring a diverse range of healthy meals and snacks, with a focus on homemade options. In addition to creating a welcoming environment for YMCA members and staff, you will conduct yourself professionally and maintain accurate records for state lunch reports.

Beyond the core responsibilities outlined in the job description, you will take charge of crucial additional duties. Your role will include meticulous record-keeping, covering aspects such as food and refrigerator temperatures, quantities prepared, and unused items. Managing daily cash receipts, recording charges on staff sheets, and submitting them to the business office will be part of your routine. Accidents and incidents will be documented as needed, reflecting your commitment to safety.

Moreover, you will play a vital role in supervising and training a food specialist assistant to meet performance objectives. Your contribution extends to keeping the YMCA website and online registration updated with accurate Food Services information. Taking initiative in inventory management, you will ensure stock levels are maintained, conduct regular audits, and initiate timely orders for kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment.

This full-time position offers a regular schedule of 6 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday-no weekends!
