Job description

The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

The Senior Manager is responsible for all avenues of Fundraising, as well as Donor Outreach, Retention and Correspondence for their specific territory.

Duties and responsibilities

• Facilitating all levels of donor outreach, retention and correspondence in set territory of the United States.
• Assist and oversee progress of all third party fundraiser events in those states, from start to finish, and other fundraising events as requested.
• Track, record and provide weekly donor progress reports to the Vice President of Development.
• Send weekly thank you notes for donations.
• Research donors in WealthEngine; clean up Kindful profiles and merge duplicates
• Send retention letters/emails to past donors; invite follow-up
• Participate in Foundation events, including but not limited to: Tunnel to Towers 5K Run, T2T Tower Climb, Annual "Footsteps to the Future" Gala, and traveling to home dedication ceremonies as required for program recipients.
• Processing and handling all land donation inquiries across the United States.
• Developing strong relationships with key donors and operational contacts, both internal and external.
• Assist with administrative office responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• This position requires occasional to frequent travel within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Fundraising or Development related fields.
• Extremely organized, able to work independently and manage tasks from start to completion, meeting deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a high-level of accuracy with all tasks and pride in a job well done.
• Excellent written and oral communication, as well as interpersonal, skills.
• Ability to track and manage multiple projects at one time.
• Ability to act efficiently on last minute projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Knowledge of Kindful, Classy and other CRM platforms preferred.
• Quick learner, team player and ready to take on any challenge.
• Ability to learn and use new technology.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Required to work on site in Staten Island, NY.

Working conditions

Special working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events such as: NYC Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk, golf outings, and other fundraising events, as required.
