The Role:
As the Vice President of Sales, you'll be a cornerstone of our sales strategy and expansion, operating in the heart of the alcohol beverage market. Reporting to the Senior VP of Sales, your leadership will empower a talented sales team, fostering cross-functional collaboration to surpass revenue goals and broaden our market footprint. Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Building: Forge lasting relationships with top distributor leaders, customers, and partners to ensure exceptional brand presence and distribution.
Strategic Goal Setting: Define and align annual sales goals with our overarching objectives. Utilize detailed sales forecasts to drive strategic decisions.
Sales Management: Establish and track sales targets, leveraging data to refine sales tactics and elevate performance.
Leadership: Cultivate a culture of excellence within the sales team through mentoring, performance feedback, and recognition of achievements.
Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing department to orchestrate impactful national promotions and marketing strategies.
Market Expertise: Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and opportunities to steer the company towards uncharted growth avenues.
Budget Oversight: Manage regional budgets judiciously to maximize resource efficiency.
Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with legal standards in collaboration with legal counsel.
Cross-Functional Support: Strengthen ties across departments, supporting senior leadership in navigating complex challenges and seizing opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is highly desirable.
Experience: Extensive experience in senior sales roles within the alcohol or beverage industry, with a proven track record of driving growth.
Skills: Deep understanding of market dynamics, exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, and proficiency in Nielsen, IRI, VIP.
Travel: Willingness to travel as required.
Physical Requirements: Valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 45 pounds, and maintain physical agility for the role's demands.
