Job Title: Info System Analyst (Data Specialist)
Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Further Extension)
Location : Milpitas CA
Reviewing and entering historical evidence into a webbased evidence system as well as assisting with logging additional evidence. This process will require reviewing hard disks and the content stored within and confirming that the data matches historical reports. Additionally new evidence must be handled following best evidence management practices and following all legal and compliance policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Review digital evidence stored on hard drives and ensure the data matches inventory log.
Prepare Excel document following specific template to upload to web based evidence management system.
Review data entered into webbased evidence system to ensure upload of data is correct.
Verifying that the documentation and electronic devices match what is being reported and what is received.
High volume of data input from documentation received such as an employee s name and identifier by handwriting and into a computer application used for tracking purposes.
High volume of data input off of electronic devices received such as the make model serial number by handwriting and into a computer application used for tracking purposes.
Identify any issues of inconsistencies in documentation or devices received and communicate these issues with the involved personnel.
Print and affix label stickers to documentation and electronic devices.
Organize documentation and electronic devices into files and bins for short term storage and longterm retention.
Adhere to digital forensic principals with respect to evidence handling and preservation.
Qualifications:
Need someone with knowledge or computers and able to navigate computer hard drives look at disk images and fill in gaps where data is missing.
