Provide support to the Property Administer during acquisition, receiving, identification, inventory and disposition of Laboratory equipment and material
Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify, tag and assign all new equipment purchased, supplied or fabricated by the Laboratory working primarily in the receiving area.
- Initiate, maintain and reconcile received property tracking in PTRACK.
- Participate in periodic physical inventory using hand-held scanners as well as providing verification of cyclic and continuous inventory.
- Provide verification of description, classification, location and other related data in the field for purchased, supplied and fabricated property.
- Provide review and verification of external property shipments and returns.
- Maintain all required correspondence relative to property at off site locations.
- Provide point of contact for technical and administrative staff inquiries relative to property policies and procedures.
- Review and take required action relative to daily inquiries, incoming office e-mail and terminations.
- Issue and coordinate special property pass approvals.
- Assist in audits of acquisition, receiving and physical inventory as required
- Provide coordination to the Security Department for laminated property passes and secure container locations.
- Provide assistance as needed to Laboratory surplus equipment activities.
- Special projects as required by supervisor
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent plus 2 years of experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel required. Knowledge of other PC applications and SAP helpful.
- National Property Management training or certifications helpful.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to handle equipment up to 50 lbs as necessary to perform duties
