The Michigan State University Social and Emotional Neurodevelopment (SEND) Laboratory explores the neurological underpinnings of neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly those in which disruptions to affect and reward can have detrimental effects. The lab combines techniques in basic science and clinical research to better understand the functional disruptions to behavior in young children. These techniques include remote eye-tracking and highly specialized behavioral software used to code young children at play in a variety of field and laboratory settings.

SEND seeks a postdoctoral researcher to work on an NIH-funded project to evaluate the impact of a Mediational Intervention for Sensitizing Caregivers -- a maternal training program -- on the long term mental health of Congolese children.
