Good Shepherd Communities is looking for an organized individual to become our Director of Purchasing for our 3 campuses.

Position Summary
The Director of Purchasing primary responsibility will be to oversee the procurement and purchasing process for all Good Shepherd Communities facilities
Responsibilities include
Proven experience in selecting and managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and building successful partnerships
Strong negotiation, communication, and people skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
Plan, coordinate, and direct the functions and activities of central supply and purchasing to ensure continuous & cost efficient procurement strategies across our 3 campuses
This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of essential medical supplies, equipment, dietary supplies, and housekeeping supplies while optimizing cost containment
Must demonstrate expertise in procurement strategies and vendor management that will contribute to achieving Good Shepherd Communities budget goals
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and purchasing in the healthcare industry
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management or a related field, preferred
Excellent organizational skills, time management, and budget managem ent
