Job Description

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer for a 6-month contract engagement. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work on the implementation of Spectral, an API governance tool, for our enterprise utility company. Experience with Spectral is not required, but any API linting tool is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the API development team to implement Spectral, an API governance tool.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the requirements and goals of the Spectral implementation.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of APIs.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Monitor and maintain the Spectral infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Spectral implementation.
• Document the Spectral implementation and provide training to the API development team as needed.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps and API governance trends and technologies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with API linting tools (e.g., Spectral, OpenAPI, Swagger).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a remote environment.
