Job description

The Bindery Production Scheduler works closely with Purchasing and CSRs to coordinate all materials (tools, into)
related to literature to assure that jobs are expedited through the production process in the most efficient manner. This
position will interface with various departments to achieve this goal.






Responsibilities:
1. Know the status of any open job at any time in the production process.
2. Coordinate/Prioritize job ticket release from QA, based on production schedule.
3. Work with prepress to help effectively schedule work in process.
4. This position will interface with the prepress department to prioritize and order all replates or new items, are, etc.,
to assure maximum efficiency in production process based on production schedule. Share information on states
of art for production scheduler.
5. Interface with warehouse to ensure material is delivered just in time to ensure production schedule is met.
6. Interface with purchasing to ensure material availability to meet production schedule in most efficient manner.
7. Responsible for posting bindery department overtime production schedules.
8. Responsible for prioritizing offset presses and folders on daily basis.
9. Will alert appropriate departments to their need to help expedite an order when a deadline is to be met.
10. Coordinates all literature jobs processed through the bindery department.


Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee needs to have good hearing and have 20/20 corrected vision. This
position also requires the employee to: use hands and fingers, stand for long periods of time, sit for long periods of time,
walk, and lift to 40 lbs. Specific vision ability requires close vision.
