Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our winery restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a charismatic leader, with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, a love for food and wine, and an eye for detail. This position requires an individual who can manage the fine balance between the relaxed atmosphere of a winery and the fast-paced nature of a top-tier dining establishment.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure excellence in guest service, food quality, and restaurant cleanliness.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain high-quality menu offerings, incorporating wine pairings and local ingredients.
- Develop and manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and implement training and development programs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and dedication to the guest experience.
- Collaborate with the winery's marketing team to create promotional events and special dining experiences that highlight our wines and cuisine.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and negotiate with vendors to meet quality and cost objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Handle guest complaints with grace and professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Drive profitability by optimizing restaurant operations and financial management.
- Collaborate with the winery's sommelier to enhance the wine selection and create educational opportunities for staff and guests.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a winery or fine-dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of wine, including varietals, the wine-making process, and pairing principles.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and reservation systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Experience in event planning and execution.
- Financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and P&L statements.
- A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
