Job Description:

Responsible for fostering a safe, supportive, vibrant, and inclusive campus community. The role focuses on enhancing student engagement, promoting student success, and supporting the personal and academic development of students by managing the student engagement and campus housing at MCC . It is required that a candidate live within a 30 miles of campus.

The successful candidate has the choice of living on-campus at no-cost. If candidate does not live on-campus they MUST live within 30-miles of the MCC student housing.

Location: Muscatine Community College. Mon-Fri daytime hours, with as needed for on-call housing emergencies and working in collaboration with campus or community partners.

STARTING SALARY : $40,000 – $45,000

Required Qualification:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated work experience in College Student Services, Activities, Residential Life, or other relevant field.
• Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills.
• Proficiency in using computer software and systems for record keeping, scheduling, and communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse individuals and groups.
• Committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of student engagement and campus housing.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Must live on-campus or within 30 miles of MCC campus housing.

Preferred Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Education or a related field.
• Knowledge of student development theory, engagement strategies, and best practices in higher education.
• Experience using Canva, or other design software for the creation of engaging materials.
