Job description
A growing and innovative multidisciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Environmental Scientist to their Toledo team!
Responsibilities:
- Plan prioritize organize and mentor staff
- Conduct ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects (site inspections research/interviews data review/interpretation and report writing)
- Responsible for the planning coordination and contractor oversight of subsurface investigation projects (Phase II ESAs underground storage tank (UST) removal remediation and other field sampling projects)
- Complete Tier 1 level technical review of various environmental assessment reports workplans and other environmentalrelated documentation
- Provide supplemental field and technical support on National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects including Categorical Exclusions (CEs) Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs).
- Attend meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science Geology or a related engineering degree
- 5 years of experience performing ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I ESAs Phase II ESAs and other subsurface investigations
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Professional interpersonal skills needed to interact directly with clients
- OSHA 40hour certification and current 8hour refresher certification preferred
- Michigan and Ohio regulatory experience preferred
- Travel for day trips and occasional
Salary is commensurate with experience.
