Job Title: HR Assistant | Schedule: 10:30 am start time | Pay Rate: $17/hr
Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in posting job openings on various platforms and websites.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates regarding interview details.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to facilitate the interview process.
Onboarding and Orientation:
- Prepare new hire paperwork and ensure all documents are completed accurately.
- Assist in conducting orientation sessions for new employees.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure new employees have necessary resources and access.
Employee Records and Documentation:
- Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Assist in the preparation of HR documents such as employment contracts, offer letters, and termination letters.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality policies.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist in resolving employee complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment through effective communication and problem-solving.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist with benefits enrollment and provide support to employees with benefits-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with benefit providers and HR team to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefits participation and eligibility.
Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
- Assist in coordinating HR events, meetings, and training sessions.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence in a courteous and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an HR administrative role or internship is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
