Internal Auditor

• Conduct financial and compliance audits as part of the internal audit team under the direct supervision of the Authority's Audit Department staff.

• Review operational components, ensuring compliance and efficient operation within Authority guidelines.

• Verify contractor billings against Engineering Department's field records, contractor's/consultant's records, and contract terms.

• Examine Authority business processes, systems, and operations, including the business and accounting records of third parties.

• Review construction contracts' extra work and net cost components billed on time and material basis, including burden/overhead rates.

• Conduct audits at contractor offices, Authority facilities, or the Audit Department offices based on assignments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in internal auditing, preferably within construction or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of audit principles, standards, and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with audit software tools.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments.
• Willingness to conduct field work at various locations, including contractor offices and Authority facilities.

Start Date:

Assignments will begin on March 25, 2024, with the onboarding process starting in late February to early March
