Job description

Bright Light Academy is seeking another team member to assist in multiple classrooms. The ideal candidate will have two+ years experience working with children, be a team player and have a passion for learning and growing in the field of early childhood education.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the lead and assistant teachers to assist and implement daily lesson plans and activities
• Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-k students
• Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines
• Provide individual and group support to children as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress

Qualifications:

• Have two+ years experience working with children
• Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the United States
• A love for children and a desire to work with infants and toddlers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children
• Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment
• Flexibility in scheduling is a plus

This position is a great opportunity for those interested in expanding their experience in the field of early childhood education. While This listing is FULL-TIME. we are also looking to fill this role full-time, with a flexible schedule to accommodate individual needs. For those with 2500 hours of experience, pay starts at $15.00. For an experienced educator with a a CDA, a non-related associates or bachelor's degree, pay is up to $17.25 (relative to education & experience). Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but staff work a FOUR-DAY work week!
