Job description
Job Summary:
The Caregiver at AbaCares Services is responsible for providing compassionate and quality care to individuals with physical or developmental disabilities in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, hourly role that offers competitive compensation and benefits. As an individual contributor, the Caregiver will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and safety of our clients.
Available shifts:
7am to 3pm
3pm to 11pm
11pm to 7am
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $13 to $15 per hour, paid biweekly.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with physical or developmental disabilities in their homes or community settings
- Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management
- Implement behavior plans and interventions as directed by a certified behavior analyst
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and any behavioral incidents
- Communicate effectively with the care team, including supervisors, therapists, and family members
- Attend training sessions to continuously develop knowledge and skills in providing quality care
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Knowledge and experience implementing behavior plans and interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate documentation
- Physical ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and other client needs
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic health records systems
