Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for an energetic individual who is ready to join us in taking our restaurant to the next level. The largest responsibility as our Truck Team Member is transferring stock from the delivered palettes and onto the correct shelves while following the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and maintain inventory accuracy, organization, and supply levels to ensure correct amount of items are in stock.
- Unload trucks and restock supply storage shelves, freezers and refrigerators.
- Clean and organize the stock and storage areas.
- Follow Chick-fil-A brand standards with stocking and inventory maintenance and cleaning protocols.
- Coordinates with kitchen leader about inventory changes and cleaning tasks.
- Ensures missing inventory items are accounted for accurately and communication regarding missing items to kitchen leaders is swift.
- Identify low stock items and work towards a solution for borrowing items if necessary.
- Team members are expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary. Prior experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Job Qualifications (Required):
- Reliable transportation
- Must have the availability to work Monday through Saturday between the hours of 5am to 8am.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
- Must have the ability to work independently and follow instructions as given.
- Must work well in a team and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
- Must be comfortable with working inside + outside and in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must understand basic food safety and must adhere to all corporate, unit, and state or federal policies.
- Must be able to obtain a food handlers card for the city of Portsmouth.
