Kelly® is hiring an Inventory Associate to work at a premier food manufacturing client in Melrose Park, IL (60160). Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm.

$23.50 per hour

This is scheduled to be an approximately 3-month project. Good workers have a chance to be kept on and hired into the company!

The main responsibilities include conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and identifying root causes of inventory inaccuracies. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. This is a crucial role to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse.

What’s a typical day as a Cycle Counter? You’ll be:

• Performing regular cycle counts of inventory items.

• Recording inventory counts using electronic inventory management systems or manual counting methods.

• Investigating and resolving discrepancies.

• Identifying and reporting damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory.

• Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams to address inventory issues and improve inventory accuracy.

• Assisting with physical inventory audits as needed.

• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the counting area.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or GED.

• Have previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.

• Can use inventory management software and handheld scanning devices.

• Have strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

• Are able to lift and move heavy objects, as needed.

• Can frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.

• Have basic computer knowledge; use of Microsoft Office products and SAP software preferred.

• Are able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
