Responsibilities of the Caregiver/CNA: - Assist residents with personal care, including dressing, mobility, personal hygiene and meals
- Monitor resident medications and update health charts
- Maintain open communication between families and health care professionals regarding resident's medical and emotional condition
- Document and report any changes in resident's health status
- Ensure safety and well-being of each resident
Requirements
of the Caregiver/CNA: - High school Diploma or G.E.D. required
- If CNA, certification must be current
- First Aid and CPR Certification required
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Experience working with older adults preferred
- Experience in a long-term care facility desirable
- Must maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Standards
- Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
