Job description

Bedrock Veterinary Specialists is searching for responsible, dedicated, hard working and friendly Veterinary Technicians who are interested in being on the ground floor of a progressive and rapidly developing Specialty Surgery Center. We are a specialty hospital built on a foundation of caring professionals providing highly competent and compassionate surgical care. • Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
• Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
• Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
• Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
• Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills to kindly and effectively interface with our team and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate.
• Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, estimates, and other position-related calculations. Ability to safely medicate, restrain, and handle patients of all sizes and personalities.
• Confident in ability to place IV catheters, blood draws, recover patients from surgery.

Pay range of $18.00 - $20.00/hour based on experience.
