Job description

Join our facilities team as a Custodian at the College of Dentistry ! If you are dedicated to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in a professional setting, we invite you to apply. You will play a part in upholding our commitment to a clean and safe environment! This is a full time, Monday through Friday position with the work hours of 6:00am to 2:30pm. Responsibilities

• Building & Operatory Clean-Up:
• Clean and disinfect operatories for patient appointments.
• Including: counter tops, sinks, walls, cabinets, air vents, windows, and other areas as needed.
• Ensure dental chairs, exam lights, x-ray arms, dental carts, and laboratory equipment meet hygiene standards.
• Respond to emergency cleaning needs across the facility.
• Address areas such as restrooms, waiting areas, lobbies, laboratories, and offices.
• Additional Duties:
• Assist in unloading trucks, assembling furniture, and moving equipment.
• Manage the delivery and retrieval of housekeeping supplies and equipment for maintenance.
• Lock and unlock doors as necessary.
• Demonstrate proper equipment cleaning procedures to users.

100% Custodian I - GD18 (Merit)

College of Dentistry - Dental Facilities & Supply

Salary: $34,542.08 (Pay Grade: 03)

Schedule: Monday through Friday; 6:00am to 2:30pm

May require occasional overtime as needed

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read, write and follow directions.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working in a healthcare setting.
• Public Contact/Customer Service; and
• Prior experience cleaning equipment.
• Possession of appropriate driver's license with ability to meet UI fleet standards.
