Job Description: IBM DataPower Developer
Location: Irving, TX (Day one onsite).
We are currently seeking an experienced IBM DataPower Developer to join our team in Irving, TX, working closely with our client,. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM DataPower development, with a proven track record of implementing secure, high-performance API solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting API solutions within the Verizon infrastructure to support business initiatives and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy API solutions using IBM DataPower appliances.
- Work closely with the architecture team to ensure solutions are in line with the company's strategic direction.
- Implement security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data transmitted via APIs.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network, security, and application developers to integrate APIs with existing systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support for API management and governance.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and innovations in API development and security.
- Document development processes, configurations, and versioning to ensure a maintainable environment.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and implementing API solutions using IBM DataPower appliances.
- Strong understanding of XML, XSLT, JSON, SOAP, and RESTful services.
- Experience with security standards and protocols such as OAuth, SSL/TLS, and SAML.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS) and protocols.
- Familiarity with IBM API Connect and other API management tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
