Job description
We are a midsize firm with about 50 employees right between downtown Dallas and Plano, but we welcome fully remote talent from all across the US. About 30% of our employees are already fully remote, but we do welcome an in office presence for those who are local to the DFW area. We are growing fast and looking to boost the future of out tax team. We have a wide variety of clients and industries in our client book. We see a few non-profits but we mainly work with private for profit entities and high net worth individuals. We have clients across many industries including, but not limited to, real estate, construction, hospitality, professional services, oil and gas, and more. Our busy season tend to entail 50-60 hour work weeks but outside of season most only work around 35-40 hours. We have no required billable hour requirements and look to promote a collaborative, health, and balanced work environment. We have top of the line medical dental, and vision plans with generous PTO, 401k w/ a 4% match, and annual bonuses along with raises.
We are looking to bring in the next generation of leaders for this firm as we are continuing to grow and take a greater regional presence in the south. We are looking for motivated individuals that have a proven track record of leading multiple direct reports across multiple engagements. We look to offer a clear path to partner laid in front of them from day one.- 6+ years of experience in Public Tax and Accounting (individual, corporate, and partnerships).
- CPA license
- Extensive Experience with staff in planning, performing, and completing Tax engagements.
- Develop professional relationships with clients.
- Passionate about developing associates and senior associates
- Expert in both tax return prep and review (especially individual and fiduciary)
- Experience in developing best practices, training, mentoring, and team project management
