Job description

Community Mental Health Center, Inc. is a provider of comprehensive mental health services, offering inpatient, outpatient, home-based, school, and community-based programs to individuals and families in Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland counties in Southeastern Indiana. CMHC offers a full continuum of care to individuals and families of all ages. CMHC follows the recovery model which emphasizes and supports each individual's potential for recovery. Position Responsibilities:
The Psychiatrist will examine, diagnose, and treat emotional disorders and psychiatric dysfunctions among patients of CMHC, Inc.

Qualifications :

• Graduate of an approved school of medicine and Board eligible in Psychiatry.
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Indiana; relevant credentials to meet the requirements for clinical privileges as either a supervisee or an independent practitioner for general privileges.
• Some experience with a multi-disciplinary staff in a community based setting is preferred.
• Vaccinated for COVID-19 OR complete an exemption waiver

Day-to-Day Expectations:

• Engages in direct treatment and/or consultation services.
• Provides psychiatric consultation and supervision to CMHC staff as assigned.
• Shares in After-Hour Emergency Services call for the Inpatient Unit and participates in other emergency situations as assigned.
• Complies with the CMHC policies and procedures regarding clinical privileges and clinical supervision.
• Documents treatment in accordance with CMHC policies and procedures.
• Be physically present on-site during scheduled day-time work hours unless an alternative schedule is approved by the Medical Director
• Completes various administrative forms to assure fair and accurate data collection for billing, fee setting, MIS and other purposes in accordance with agency and program policies and procedures.
