Job description
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Project LIFE Program Manager, the Training & Technical Assistance Specialist is responsible for the development of training materials and provision of training to Lifeline interns and providers, as well as formal partnering agencies and other community service providers, on the issue of human trafficking and specific issues affecting victims/survivors. Additionally, the Training & Technical Assistance Specialist will provide comprehensive services to victims/survivors, including information regarding crime victims' rights, crisis stabilization, safety planning, victim advocacy, and service planning in support of recovery and self-sufficiency as well as therapeutic services.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling, social work or related field with a minimum of one year case management experience; Must be registered with BBS (AMFT, ACSW, LMFT, LCSW).
- Knowledge of, and/or experience working with, victims of human trafficking, sexual assault, domestic violence, or other victim populations (e.g. immigrant/refugee populations).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilize evidence based practices to engage victims of human trafficking in participation of services that are client centered, culturally appropriate, and trauma-informed to improve the short/long-term health, safety, and well-being of
- Provide immediate response services for urgent law enforcement referrals and assist in coordinating response with case
- Conduct and complete initial intake, safety screening, safety planning, and needs assessment for all clients
- Maintain a manageable caseload and provide comprehensive case management services to access shelter, medical and dental services, transportation, legal advocacy, housing assistance, mental and behavioral health services, tattoo removal services (branding), support groups, community referrals, literary skills, life skills, and employment training that is trauma informed and client driven.

- Maintain strong partnerships with law enforcement, probation, runaway and homeless youth shelters, Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), domestic violence providers, schools, and other community based
- Provide education to professionals and community members regarding best practices in the areas of prevention, recognition and response to suspected and identified victims of human trafficking.
- Assist the community in identifying and developing needed services for human trafficking and CSEC victims
- Attend applicable community meetings/trainings to gather updated research/trends on human trafficking, responsible for presenting the updated research and new trends to program staff
- Maintain relationships with local human trafficking service agencies
- Work with community partners to establish and implement a streamlined response/referral process for human trafficking

- Develop policies and procedures and roll out to other human trafficking victim service
- Develop trainings on the issue of human trafficking at a national, state and county level, including specific issues impacting victims/survivors such as identification, recruitment tactics, victim
- mindset, risk factors, victims' rights, first responder protocol, assessing victim needs and impact of trauma. Trainings should be based on best practice approaches and include protocol, policies, and procedures for working with victims/survivors of human trafficking. Trainings will endorse a philosophy of victim/survivor engagement that is client centered, culturally appropriate, and trauma-informed to improve the short/long-term health, safety, and well-being of victims/survivors.
- Provide training to Lifeline Community Services staff as well as other victim services providers within the community to equip them with the knowledge and tools required to effectively work with victims/survivors of human
- Conduct trainings with other victim service providers within the community on best practice approaches, protocol, policies, and procedures for working with victims/survivors of human trafficking.
- Facilitate prevention groups for at-risk youth
- Co-Facilitate survivor-led HT support groups
- Maintain accurate records of trainings provided in compliance with funding requirements and objectives.
Schedule/Compensation
- 40 hours a week- Monday - Friday- Flexible hours- may include evenings and weekends.

- $34.50-$37.95 Sa lary will commensurate with experience and education. EEO.
Additional Requirement
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a good driving record.
- Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).
