We are seeking to add a few members to our waterpark team in Dubuque, IA at the Grand Harbor Resort & Waterpark including a Waterpark Supervisor!
Ideal candidates will have the ability to work during the operational hours of the waterpark and previous leadership experience.

Basic Criteria:
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory position
- Possess Red Cross Certification
- Experience Directing special events and aquatic programs
- Excellent communications skill with ability to vary style to fit the situation.
- Ability to handle guest complaints with a satisfying outcome for the hotel and guest
- Strong leadership skills with ability to instruct, direct and motivate staff
- Basic knowledge of pool maintenance operations
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Waterpark Manager with the following:
1. Responsible for the administrative duties of the Waterpark Department:
- Scheduling of Waterpark department employees
- Submitting schedules for approval
- Administering policies such as attendance, coaching and counseling both verbal and written and performance evaluations
- Enforcing company and departmental policies and procedures
- Reviewing timecards, manage leave requests, and onboarding
- Track department required training and certifications
- Conducting interviews
- Participate in the safety committee
- Actively participate in the Management team
- Respond to customer complaints to reach a resolution that is satisfactory to both the customer and resort.
- Respond to guests’ incidents and injuries, documenting all incidents appropriately on the Guest Injury Report form.
- Interface with Maintenance Department on an ongoing basis to ensure that the Waterpark and the equipment within are well maintained and in working order.
* Completing weekly waterpark walkthroughs when necessary
6. Oversee waterpark maintenance and cleaning, including but not limited to:
* Painting of waterpark features, cleaning/painting waterpark floors, patching and filling of tubes, and all other waterpark maintenance projects as assigned
7. Oversee and assist with onsite children's activities program:
- Coordinate events at the waterpark and offsite in the community
- Schedule employees as needed for program
- Create, implement, and oversee “Special Programming” i.e., Halloween, New Year’s, Spring Break, Winter Break, and Summer Break
