Software Engineer

Amentum is seeking software engineering professionals with related education and/or experience to support systems and software development in support of custom software platforms that are primarily customer-centric and provide a competitive advantage. Must be a US Citizen to apply.

You will be part of our very experienced systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. An interest in working on MVP’s and POC’s, that may involve a “fail fast fail often” process towards successful solutions.

Software Engineer Responsibilities Include:

+ Develop software in Microsoft .Net with experience in Azure.

+ Familiar with Agile team activities (Daily Standups, Story Refinements, Story Demonstrations, Team Retrospectives, etc.)

+ Participate in Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD) DevOps

Minimum Qualifications and experience:

+ Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.

+ Ability to learn new languages, technologies, and frameworks with ease.

+ Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences.

+ Experience with designing, coding, and debugging Object Oriented Applications in a formal software development environment.

+ 3 years’ Experience with programming in .Net C#, MSFT SQL Server.

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent) required.

+ US Citizenship is REQUIRED .

Desired Experience:

+ Experience designing user interfaces with ReactJS.

+ Experience with leveraging Microsoft Azure AI services

+ Experience with Agile practices/processes.

+ Skilled in or have experience with two or more of the following: object-oriented programming, software design patterns, real-time or embedded software, automated builds, open-source software, unit-testing or test-driven development.

+ Interest in finding solutions to business problems that leverage AI/ML/ NLP solutions available in the Azure eco-system, with a keen eye on speed-to-market.
