Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead and manage programs within the Smart MedTech Initiative. The ideal candidate will focus on the convergence of semiconductor engineering and life sciences, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with Smart MedTech missions and goals. The Program Manager will play a crucial role in recruiting and motivating industry professionals, participating in international symposia, and contributing to the development and expansion of the Smart MedTech industry and life science reach.
Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the Smart MedTech Initiative, ensuring alignment with goals and objectives of initiatives.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams internal and external to drive collaboration and innovation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the MedTech sector related to Biomedicine, life science, bioscience and semiconductor applications
- Identify Market and application niche area to connect semiconductor and life science
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry players, potential partners, and clients in both the semiconductor and healthcare sectors
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and life science needs and competitive landscape in semiconductor-driven healthcare and biomedicine solutions and technology road mapping
- Networking within the industry and the ability to establish partnerships and collaborations
- Recruit and motivate industry professionals for technical advisory roles
- Participate in the development of international symposia, fostering collaboration across the supply chain
- Assist the Director with strategy formation, business planning, and execution of approved platforms
- Define and measure key performance indices for Smart MedTech and evaluate ROI
- Assist SEMI regions with content creation for industry events, from webinars, and expositions to workshops
- Providing guide to SEMI Marketing for internal and external communication related to Smart MedTech
- Represent SEMI and Smart MedTech at industry events on panels, in speaking positions, and/or as a session chair
Critical Skills: - Exceptional knowledge of the semiconductor industry, sensor technologies, and medical devices, and their applications in healthcare. with diverse roles and responsibilities
- Experience in business development, and strategic planning within the MedTech or Semiconductor sector
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the medical device industry
- Semiconductor marketing/engineering background
- Medical device/industry experience
- Stakeholder management and team-building experience
- Business case analysis and ROI evaluation
- Excellent communication skills at all levels - team settings, written material, public presentations
- Extreme attention to detail, prioritization, and systematic planning in dynamic situations
- Passion for new technology introduction, microelectronic devices, and medical applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven leadership skills to drive initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams toward innovative solutions
- Ability to travel (10%)
Education and Experience: - Advanced degrees (Master's degree or PhD) in a related field
- 6-8 years of experience in relevant roles
- U.S. citizenship required
