SAIC has an opening for a Test Engineer to join our team located at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma to support the SETA contract to conduct independent verification and validation testing on the US Army and USMC tactical command and control systems.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The setup and configuration of AFATDS, JADOCS, PF-D and other tactical fire support systems organic to an Army or USMC organization
- The creation of AFATDS databases and the establishment of communications between AFATDS and other tactical fire support systems
- Test analyze, evaluate and document AFATDS software behavior and its effect on interfacing with other fire support systems
- Recommend tactical procedure adjustments that will overcome minor software issues until they are corrected
- Review and evaluate Technical Manuals for accuracy, readability and completeness
- Analyze system requirement documents and develop test cases that will isolate and illuminate those requirements in the system’s software
- Create problem reports and technical letters for the reporting of software issues
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and two (2)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Experience in Test Engineering or Instructor / Training and Development
- Experience in Joint Fire Support and Fire Direction procedures, operations, and systems
- Be able to translate systems requirements into test cases containing step by step procedures that validate the requirements
- Experience in developing operational test plans and reports
- Knowledge of automated test tools
- Be able to translate system issues into a concise and comprehensive test incident report
- Be capable of guiding and directing personnel in the setup and performance of tests
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must have an active Secret Clearance
- Must be a current US Citizen
