As a Tax Operations Manager, you will report to the Tax Operations Senior Manager and partner with the Head of Tax to manage Roblox's tax operations function which includes income tax reporting and compliance operations.
You have experience working in a high-growth organization and enjoy educating others on income tax issues. You can perform tax research, work with outside advisors and with internal departments. You are experienced in overseeing a broad range of tax matters, compliance and special project work.
This position is based in San Mateo, CA (HQ).
You Will: - Be responsible for the quarterly and annual tax provision and financial statement disclosures and the U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of key inputs to the income tax calculations.
- Be responsible for U.S. international tax compliance including GILTI and other key international taxes.
- Manage external tax advisors' timely preparation of global income tax provision and compliance, ensuring completeness and accuracy of deliverables.
- Prepare forecasted income taxes for Roblox's guidance and cash tax analysis.
- Review quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments.
- Be responsible for SOX controls for income taxes.
- Manage income tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities.
You Have: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax or a CPA preferred
- 8+ years of income tax compliance and financial reporting experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department.
- Technical knowledge of U.S. income tax matters, ASC 740 - Income Taxes, U.S. federal and state tax compliance, and relevant industry experience.
- Experience managing a positive relationship with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Experience engaging and leading spirited discussions, enthusiasm solving complex problems and is quick to understand and integrate business objectives with tax compliance and strategies.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$146,050-$191,440 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
