Job description
We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join our dynamic Manufacturing team. Our team is working with industry leading EV manufacturers with a strong project pipeline. As our Controls Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems in our production environment. What You Will Be Doing
- Learn and master customer control standards, and engage with customers about potential issues and suggestions for improvement.
- Write and design a PLC offline program in accordance with the production line control method, and then undertake virtual debugging and verification.
- Perform daily tasks with the on-site team in accordance with the project's timeline and progress.
- Assist the site manager with the design and modifications to the site commissioning plan.
- Complete the assigned PLC debugging activities in accordance with the project plan.
- Record the daily risks and difficulties encountered during on-site debugging.
- Participate in daily on-site debugging routine meetings and report on the progress and status of debugging tasks.
- Participate in daily on-site routine meetings with the customer and report on the progress and status of commissioning or debugging tasks.
- Provide debugging help and technical training to new internal workers or subcontractors based on on-site requirements.
- Work with the project team to complete the necessary functional tests for the production line until the customer meets the various acceptance criteria.
What You Need for this Position
- PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens
- Experience writing programs from scratch
- Troubleshooting, Debugging, commissioning, etc.
- Body in White experience(BIW)
