Role: Senior Developer

Remote: Must reside in VA, MD, WV, or Washington D.C.

Salary: $140,000

Recruiting Heroes is looking for a highly motivated Senior Developer (U.S. remote) to join our client based out of Stafford, Virginia.

Job Summary:

The Developer will be working within an Agile, cross-functional team to design, develop, test, and deploy a new distributed application using C# .NET , WCF, SQL Server. This position works collaboratively with other team members to solve problems, test code, and develop and maintain the software. They will provide feedback for continuous process improvement and participate in code reviews to help to maintain a high-quality codebase throughout the project lifecycle. A self-starter who needs minimal supervision, is curious about software, and comes with a team-first approach to the position is highly desired.

Qualifications:

• Able to work independently on complex coding tasks within a single service or application.
• At least 7 years software development experience, preferably with C# and .NET.
• Developing unit tests with NUnit, xUnit, or other frameworks.
• Relational database design and development experience, preferably using SQL Server.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Desire to work in a collaborative and team-focused environment.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and solid troubleshooting ability.
• Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) certification; required within 8 months of start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing web-based applications, including use of HTML and CSS.
• Experience developing or consuming services and RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with an agile team using SCRUM, XP, Kanban, or other Lean development approaches.
• Knowledge of DevOps techniques and approaches to software development.
