Job Title: Sr. Kernel Engineer
Job Location: Mountain View, CA - hybrid on-site 3 days/week
Compensation: $150K - $300K+ Depending on experience plus generous equity!

Our company is on a mission to be the compute platform for AGI. We are developing vertically integrated full-stack solutions from silicon to systems including hardware and software to train and run the largest ML workloads for AGI. We are seeking a Sr. Kernel Engineer to design and optimize kernels that interface directly with our specialized hardware.

What You Will Be Doing
- Design and optimize kernels that interfaces directly with our hardware
- Design and implement compilers tailored for our specialized hardware architecture
- Create simulators to model and test the functionality and performance of our hardware
- Work in partnership with our MLR and HWE teams
- Provide expertise and guidance on hardware architecture from a programmer's perspective, ensuring seamless integration with the software stack
What You Need for this Position
Bachelors (Master's or Ph.D. preferred) in Electrical Engineering, or similar with 3+ years of experience in the following:
- Excellent software engineering skills, with a focus on high-performance code (we use Rust & C)
- Experience optimizing software for specialized hardware, employing techniques such as parallelism, SIMD programming, C, or assembly-level optimization
- Familiarity with compiler algorithms, including but not limited to register allocation, instruction scheduling, instruction selection, and loop optimizations
