Overview

The Outpatient Clinical Manager is responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision for all non-nursing clinical staff including Psych ED Therapists. They oversee the interviewing, hiring and staffing, while being directly responsible for ensuring team compliance with health system and regulatory standards. This includes Therapy services provided to patients and families. The Outpatient Clinical Manager provides support to the Clinical Director and guidance on Clinical program development and improvement in the designated departments at RBHC. They also play a critical role in ensuring evidenced based practice related to the patient's care and treatment as well as necessary documentation. This role is an important part of the Multidisciplinary Team, they will ensure the daily programming on the units is taking place, coordinating multidisciplinary teams are functioning at highest levels, and that all patients have comprehensive individualized care while at RBHC. This role will assist the Admission Coordinators to ensure that all patients are appropriately placed upon screening, seamless coordination of care and documentation to the necessary standards.

The Manager communicates directly with the Clinical Director, participates in performance improvement (PI) activities, and ensures PI reports are submitted in a timely manner. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to support/provide care appropriate to the age of the patient and has 24 hour oversight and accountability of Admission Coordinators, Therapists and Peer Recovery Specialists. This position is part of the Administrator-On-Call pool.

What you will do

Participates in professional activities, in-service programs, new employee orientation and committee assignments to enhance personal, professional, and institutional advancement. Actively engages in referral development activities.

Coaches, mentors, and develops employees to ensure high employee morale and professional atmosphere. Provides ongoing constructive feedback and evaluation.

Communicates well with all hospital departments as well as CSAs, referral Sources, Patients, Residents and Families.

Engages in RBHC PI activities to include focus groups, PI teams, task forces, and quality improvement initiatives.

Demonstrates professional, positive interpersonal relations dealing with internal and external customers. Regularly practices service excellence and serves as a role model to others.

Develops, implements and analyzes productivity standards to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in department(s).

Ensures compliance with all state, federal and accrediting body criteria for participation, licensure and accreditation.

Completes and submits all required reports within specified time frames. Completes established goals and objectives.

Coordinates the daily operations and schedule for Behavioral Heals and Addiction outpatient services as well as all Addiction services, inclusive of detox. This includes admissions and transfers amongst departments and community outreach and referral management.

Ensures that the treatment plan and treatment team process on all units meets minimum standards, best practice and guides the patient's care.

Ensures best practice and therapeutic interventions for all Outpatient and Addiction Services. Utilizes evidenced based practice, minimum participation standards. Develops, coordinates and oversees all department services from a clinical and operational perspective. Quickly able to respond to the changing needs of the community and population served. Provides clinical supervision to necessary staff.
